WAM (Worship, Activities & Missions)
About
The FUN on Wednesdays include learning Biblical truths, missional service, and the JOY of worshiping God. WAM is Worship, Activities, and Missions for ages 2 year-5th grade and meets at 6:30 pm August-June in the Children’s Building.
Wee Praise! is designed for the Preschool Ministry to worshiping Jesus through singing, listening, and moving. Children will have fun learning biblical truths through song, craft, and movement.
Kids Praise! includes kindergarten through third grade. Our team offers engaging, intentional time for our children to build community with one another and spiritual growth. In laughter and learning, Kids Praise! members will experience engaging lessons in biblical truth, a variety of forms of worship, skill building, and mission-minded service opportunities.
PRAISE 54! is a program for the oldest students in Kids. Members serve as leaders within the Kids Praise! team and greet, mentor, and guide the activities of the WAM. Students also participate in an annual Music & Mission tour where they go into our community and beyond as they sing and serve others in the local area.
Worship
Students have an intentional time on Wednesday evenings to create meaningful worship. Worship leads children to engage in a relationship with Christ through our focused attention, singing praise, quiet reflection, and prayer. A variety of opportunities allow children to be connected to Christ through worship and use their spiritual gifts.
Activities
Children are engaged in hands-on activities throughout the evening. For Wee Praise! Preschool ages, children will have sensory activities and playtime that help connect to the lesson in a hands-on approach. Kids Praise! & Praise 56! are involved in “track” classes each week. From recreation, arts, crafts, sports-themed skills, science experiments, and more, kids participate in classes that build new skills, new relationships, and new experiences to honor God.
Missions
All ages will have a time focused on missions and will learn of service opportunities in and outside of their local community. Cultural awareness and international missions’ partnership will allow children to see ways to support the global mission field. Missions time will create tangible opportunities to express the love of Christ to all of those God created.
