What to Expect Sunday Morning

When you drop off your child, whether it is your 1st time or 101st time, each child will be checked in and out using our electronic sign-in system. Additionally, you will notice that all of our volunteers have on a North Kids Lanyard. This indicates that they have received a background check and have been vetted by the staff.

For Preschool (Infants-Pre-k), when you check in your child, you will be escorted to one of the two preschool rooms where your child will be kept, introduced to the leaders in that room, and be given the opportunity to write down any special instructions or needs that your child might have.

For Kids (K-4th grade), when you check in your child, they will remain with you during worship. In service, your child will have the choice to either sit with you, or a group of kids their own age under adult supervision. Immediately following the worship set (singing), a volunteer wearing an orange North Kids shirt will escort all the children to their room where they will enjoy a service uniquely designed for them. And of course, you always have the option to keep your child with you during the entire worship service.

For both Preschool and Kids, for your child’s safety, in order to check them out, you will present either the sticker that you were given at check-in to the volunteer at the door of their classroom.

It takes a brilliant team of volunteers to pull off all the things that make North Kids so great. Because we value the safety of our children, anyone interested in helping with North Kids will undergo a background check and be vetted by the Children’s ministry team.

A Word From Our Children’s Director

Myself and the entire Lindsay Lane North Kids team are excited and honored to have the opportunity to teach the kids of Elkmont God’s Word! It’s our prayer that every child who comes through on a Sunday morning feels loved and encouraged to pursue a one on one relationship with the Lord. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for Elkmont!

A Word From Our Preschool Director

I just can’t tell you how excited I and the rest of the team are to get the opportunity to pour into the precious children here in this community! Having children that are preschool age myself, I know how important it is for parents to drop their kids off in an environment that is safe, secure, and engaging for all age groups. I look forward to the opportunity of serving your family as your little ones get their first glimpses of God!
